Australia Day is the official National Day of Australia. Australia Day is recognized on January 26th, and we will be celebrating the Saturday prior with a black-tie gala. The Australia Day Gala has been one of San Francisco’s premier events for the past three decades.

In 2018, we will celebrate one hundred years since Australian and American troops first fought side by side at the Battle of Hamel. In the century since, our nations have become the closest allies, partners and friends, united by shared democratic values and millions of people to people links. These bonds are further strengthened today between Australia and the United States in business relations. The Australia Day Gala will acknowledge the remarkable bonds of mateship that continue to unite our two nations.  ‘100 Years of Mateship.

The Australia Day Gala is an annual event presented by the Australian American Chamber of Commerce in partnership with G’day USA. This uniquely Australian event is attended by San Francisco’s leading business and tech executives and provides an opportunity for networking while enjoying the best of Australian entertainment, food, and wine.

In 2018, the Australia Day Gala is set to outdo all previous years as we celebrate the 36th Anniversary. To mark this occasion, we will also present the 2nd Annual “Innovation Awards” that will be presented to companies and an individual who have shown a commitment to Australian Innovation. These awards will be presented at the gala alongside the Ambassador Bill Lane “Spirit of Australia Award.
