Dear AACC Members and Friends,

As spring arrives in the Bay Area, let's hope the volatile winter weather begins to ease and we can enjoy the longer daylight hours. 

Despite the threat of a major storm, over 230 guests ventured out to enjoy the 2024 Australian Gala, held on February 3 at the Fairmont Hotel. It was also an opportunity to recognize Australian individuals and organizations in the Bay Area. We were honored to award the Spirit of Australia Award to the CSIRO's US Team in recognition of their contributions to the advancement of Australian innovation in the US. We also presented the Australian Innovation Awards and congratulate Fabion Kauker and Queensland's Redflow on their awards. Thank You to all of our guests for braving the weather and for your general support - it's warmly appreciated!  And a huge Thank You to our wonderful sponsors and partners - we are forever grateful for your generous contributions! And finally, a shout out to Gordon Stirling, our MC, who presided over the night in his inimitable style and various wardrobe changes! 

Over the coming months, we'll be in planning mode for a series of events and activities, including ANZAC Day.

Our first social networking Happy Hour is happening on March 28, please save the date with more details to come.

2024 AUSTRALIAN GALA

SAINT MARY'S HERITAGE NIGHT

On January 27th, the Saint Mary's Gaels hosted an exciting Australian Heritage Night, supported by the Australian Consulate General. The event celebrated the strong connection between the college's basketball program and Australian athletes. The day featured a doubleheader, with both the Women's and Men's team taking on their rivals, the LMU Lions.
