Game On: Sport, Business & the Australia-US Connection
We had a fantastic morning in San Francisco supporting Austrade for ‘Game On: Sport, Business & the Australia-US Connection’, an event that brought together leaders from across sport, business and the broader Australia-US community to explore the powerful role sport plays in strengthening international relationships.
A huge thank you to our outstanding Football Australia speakers Heather Garriock OLY and Josip Skoko, and our Oakland partners Lindsay Barenz of the Oakland Roots Sports Club and David White from the San Francisco Unicorns.
We were also lucky enough to nab amazing Claire Reilly to moderate what was fun and thoughtful discussion on how sport builds communities, drives innovation and creates deeper cultural and economic ties between countries.
Special thanks to Motoring Coffee for hosting us in their amazing space (and for going so far as to a arrange a green and gold racer to greet us!).
It was particularly fitting to hold the event ahead of the Socceroos’ final World Cup group stage match against Paraguay, with Australia’s 0-0 draw securing progression to the knockout stages and giving everyone even more reason to celebrate.
